Encrypted Email Process for Recipients

When an encrypted email is sent from Outlook, depending on the recipients email service it can be delivered in one of 2 ways.
The first way is completely transparent to the end user and applies if their email is hosted with Microsoft 365, it will deliver as normal to their Outlook client and they can respond in the normal way. Microsoft ensures that the email is end to end encrypted.
For recipients who do not use Microsoft 365, Microsoft provides a secure portal to view and respond to encrypted emails and the process is outlined below:
1) Recipient receives an email like below:
2) Following the link in the email takes you to this screen:
3) Press Sign in with a One-time passcode:
4) An email is sent with a passcode to the recipient that clicked the link:
5) Enter this code on the screen where it asks for the code and your email will be displayed:
There is also a reply button in the encrypted email portal if the response requires encryption.
